How competitive scoring works
GeoVector queries the same prompts across all tracked AI platforms and records which brands each model recommends. Brand Share is calculated by weighting mention position (earlier = stronger preference), deduplicating within-sentence repeats, and distributing share fairly among co-mentioned brands. Your competitors are tracked using the same prompt set, so share-of-voice comparisons are apples-to-apples. Weighted moving averages smooth out the inherent non-determinism of AI responses, ensuring the trends you see reflect real competitive shifts.
